Equifax says my credit is excellent! Last week, I got one of my free credit reports. For an extra $6.95 you can throw in your credit score.
Last time I found out what my credit report/score, I thought I was doing pretty well. I had a score in the 760s. Since then, I have finished paying off my student loan and I have paid off all credit card debt. All the hard work has paid off.

a good nights sleep...
Over the weekend, my fiance and I went shopping for a mattress. It's one of those things that I knew we needed, but he thought we could just let slide. Well, after months and months of coaxing, I convinced him it was time to make the investment.
We had gone into a store in our neighborhood the previous weekend, with little luck. The salesman was very helpful at first. We told him what we were looking to spend and he showed us a few beds...all of them out of our price range. When we finally picked one that we liked, he told us the mattress would be $100 more than we said we wanted to spend. Then he asked us about delivery. Since we live about 10 blocks away, we told him we'd pick it up from the store. For some reason, he didn't like that Idea. He just started telling us what we could do to get free delivery...as if that would make us feel better about the price. Turns out they don't deliver on Saturdays and they wouldn't schedule a window of time, so one of us would have to take a whole day off. It shouldn't be a surprise that we walk out of there. No Sale!
So Saturday, we went out to the 'burbs. At the 2nd store, we were helped by a younger guy...probably mid-twenties. We told him how much we wanted to spend, and he instantly directed us to two choices that were in the right price range. He didn't try to up-sell us at all. Then, when he found out that the one we wanted wasn't in stock, he called other stores to see if we could take it home that day...no luck. But, he put in an order for it to brought to the store on Tuesday, with no hassle about having it delivered instead.
Last night, we picked up the new mattress, and I had the best sleep I've had in years!
